Abstract:	Este trabajo analiza los ataques terrorista del 11 de Septiembre de 2001 en Estados Unidos desde el punto de vista de "evento semiótico", como un discurso en el cual la realidad y la ficción, el pasado, el futuro y el presente interactúan tratando de analizar las relaciones entre cultura y barbarie. El texto presenta la noción de evento como un caso de estudio.
Abstract:	This essay discusses the terrorist attacks of the 11th September 2001 in USA under the point of view of a "semiotic of the event", reading them as a discourse in which reality and fiction, past, future and present time interact. The text also try to use these events as a case study in order to give a purely semiotic explanation about the relationship between culture and barbarity.
