Abstract:	San Antonio fue uno de los eremitas más populares de la Baja Edad Media. Protector contra la peste y otras enfermedades, gozó de un extendido culto. Gremios y cofradías encargaban retablos dedicados a un santo al que veneraban como patrón. Entre las escenas de la vida del anacoreta representadas con mayor asiduidad está la tentación de la lujuria. En este estudio se ha querido llevar a cabo una revisión de las distintas leyendas que versaron sobre este episodio. De entre todas ellas, son, en mi opinión, la leyenda de Patras y la del dominico Alfonso Buenhombre, el fundamento para entender las dos concepciones de la iconografía del tema. Sólo añadir que dicha revisión apunta a dos objetos: por un lado explica la relación de la leyenda de Patras con la ilustración de la tentación de san Antonio y, por otro lado, la imagen de época de la mujer medieval.
Abstract:	Saint Anthony tempted by lust. Two painting ways of representation in the 14th and 15th Centuries San Antonio was one of the most popular eremit in the low Middle Ages. He got an extensive cult, being protector against plagues and illnesses. Professional associations and brotherhoods asked for altarpieces for a saint considered as their patron saint. The lust temptation is the more often represented life scene of this anchorite. A review of the several legends about this scene is elaborated in this study. The most representative and the ones that show better the two conceptions of the Lust temptation iconography are «La leyenda de Patras» and the Alfonso Buenhombre monk legend. This study aims at two points. The connection between «La leyenda de Patras» and the San Antonio temptation picture, and also the connection with the Middle Ages woman image.
