Abstract:	In questo articolo si presentano ed analizzano i ritratti, tra cui alcune incisioni inedite, di Iñigo Vélez de Guevara e Tassis VIII conte di Oñate (1597-1658), ambasciatore a Roma ed uno dei più importanti viceré della Napoli del Seicento. Viene inoltre preso in considerazione un importante ma finora trascurato libro, il Theatrum Omnium Scientiarum, pubblicato nel 1650, che menziona un ritratto, attualmente disperso, fattogli da Ribera. Questa testimonianza è molto importante perché finora non si aveva notizia certa di rapporti tra il viceré e l'artista.
Abstract:	The portraits of Iñigo Vélez de Guevara and Tassis, VIII Earl of Oñate (1597-1658) are presented in this paper, who was embassador in Rome and a very important viceroy of the naples of the Seventeenth Century. The Theatrum Omnium Scientarum, an important and forgotten book, published in 1650, is also aduced, where it is mentioned a portrait, nowadays lost, done by Ribera. This testimony is very important because there was no evidence until now of the relationship between the viceroy and the artist.
