Resum:	L'objectiu d'aquest article és el d'aportar elements de reflexió sobre alguns conceptes clau de la sociologia que, malgrat que són tan antics com la disciplina mateixa, encara mantenen un cert nivell de polèmica. El fil conductor d'aquesta reflexió és la relació entre el coneixement sociològic i les aportacions de Darwin, i, per tant, entre l'evolució biològica i el canvi social. Aquesta reflexió es fa de la ma d'uns quants autors que, a parer meu, malgrat les seves diferències són complementaris en molts aspectes i permeten tenir una visió integradora molt útil als estudiants a qui va dirigit principalment l'article.
Resum:	The aim of this article is to contribute with elements of reflection on some key concepts of sociology which, although being as old as the discipline itself, still keep a certain level of controversy. The guiding thread of this reflection will be the relationship between sociological knowledge and Darwin's contributions and, therefore, between biological evolution and social change. This reflection will be made by some authors who, despite their differences, may be complementary in many aspects and allow for an enlightening and useful ointegration for the students of sociology to which this texy is especially addressed.
