The author shows the chronological situation of Philo of Byblos and of his Phoenician History. The koiné and the atticism of the second century A. D. Delimitation of the analysed text. General description of some elements of the language of the Phoenician History: categories of words, the use of the cases and syntactic functions. Morphosyntactic traits of the Phoenician History (I): proper nouns, common nouns, adjectives; correspondence of cases and functions; some semitisms. |
