Resum:	Copiado en el siglo XIV, el manuscrito Paris, BNF, Lat. 3820, contiene parte de un homiliario y legendario para uso de la catedral de San Trófimo de Arlés, donde la vida de Juan el Limosnero figura, como es usual en los martirologios bizantinos, en el mes de noviembre. El texto ofrece más bien una "readaptación" que una traducción de la hagiografía compuesta por Leoncio de Neápolis, ya que una selección de capítulos de éste es sometida a un nuevo ordenamiento para adecuarse a un modelo de vita más con-vencional. El objeto de este trabajo es brindar un primer aporte para el análisis de este texto poco estudiado examinando los procedimientos de traducción y reescritura.
Resum:	Paris, BNF, Lat. 3820, copied during 14th century, is a liturgical manuscript, an homiliary-legendary, written for its use at the cathedral of St. Trophime in Arles. There the life of John the Almsgiver stands, as it is usual for byzantine martyrologies, in No-vember. The text appears to be a "re-adaptation" of the hagiography written by Leon-tius of Neapolis rather than a proper translation of it, for a selection of its chapters gets a new organization in order to fit the pattern of a more conventional vita. The purpose of this paper is to make a first approach to analyse this scarcely studied text by consider-ing its translation and rewriting techniques.
